Hello, and welcome to Pacific Roots Massage Therapy. My name is Ken Husband and I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria BC in 2021, completing the 2200 hour RMT program. I remain licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of BC, and am a member in good standing. I believe in upholding my practice to the CMTBC Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. I am also a member, in good standing, with the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta (MTAA).

I am a new Calgarian, having moved here to be closer to my wife’s family. We brought our two cats with us, Sadie and Ruby, who are more than pleased with the show the magpies put on outside. My wife and I have fallen in love with Calgary, and enjoy exploring new neighbourhoods together and discovering everything that makes our new home vibrant.

Growing up in the wild surroundings of Haida Gwaii in Northern BC, and spending the last 16 years in beautiful Victoria BC, I bring a laid-back island approach to my clients’ treatments. I have treated many folks across the age spectrum, from families with young athletes to active seniors, and everyone in between.

Outside of massage therapy, another passion of mine is my 20+ year DJ career. My love for music is expressed in the custom playlists curated for your treatments, and I am always happy to chat old school hip-hop.

Growing up and into my adult years, I come from a competitive athletic background in basketball, bodybuilding competitions, amateur boxing, and running races from 5K to marathon distance.

My treatment style incorporates a mix of relaxing Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, active techniques, and stretching. I have recently become certified in cupping and am excited to incorporate it into my treatments.
